The intrepid Heather Mac Donald, in this excellent short article, reminds us of facts that everyone knows at least approximately:
Facts don’t matter to the academic victimology narrative. Far from destroying the black body, whites are the overwhelming target of interracial violence. Between 2012 and 2015, blacks committed 85.5 percent of all black-white interracial violent victimizations (excluding interracial homicide, which is also disproportionately black-on-white). … Blacks are less than 13 percent of the national population.”
No reasonable black person cares what color George Floyd was, or what color his killer is, except perhaps to be relieved that the killer was not again a black man. No reasonable black person thinks that he understands the evil of slavery or racism better than white people do. No reasonable person condones either the cause or the actions of the hordes of willful savages, of all colors, now rioting across America. No reasonable person supports Black Lives Matter, a Marxist, racist organization that pays primary tribute to Joanne Chesimard, a.k.a. Assata Shakur, former Black Panther and member of the Black Liberation Army, a militant Marxist who was convicted of murdering a state trooper, escaped from prison, and is now holed up in Cuba.
Black Lives Matter is part of a coalition called The Movement for Black Lives (M4BL). The About Us page on the M4BL website bluntly states:
We are anti-capitalist.
The Reparations page bluntly states,
We demand reparations for past and continuing harms.
The website of Black Lives Matter used to contain a lengthy tribute to Marxist and cop-killer Chesimard. That tribute has been scrubbed from the site, but a lesser tribute still appears in this post by Black Lives Matter on its Facebook page.
Over the past year we have seen the movement and people at large elevating Assata worldwide chanting the excerpt from her letter and proudly wearing Assata Taught Me sweatshirts.
Today as #BlackSpring actions, rallies and gatherings begin to spring up in more than fifty cities across the country we ask that people take a moment to uplift our sister Assata Shakur by posting on social media how Assata has inspired them and why she is important to the current Black Lives Matter movement.
When you tweet, facebook, instagram, etc please use the hashtags #AssataTaughtMe and #HandsOffAssata
The What We Believe page of the website of Black Lives Matter states,
We see ourselves as part of the global Black family …
Imagine an organization of people who saw themselves as part of the global White family.
As if all this is not enough, Black Lives matter is also anti-Israel, accusing Israel of genocide.
In short, Black Lives Matter is an organization by and for American-hating, Israel-hating, police-hating, freedom-hating racists. True to form, Leftist individuals and organizations throughout America today acted in solidarity with these racists, blackening their Facebook profiles and publishing statements with the Black Lives Matter signature.
For the past two generations, since Leftists could no longer indoctrinate enough white people to be explicit anti-black racists, the dominant form of racism in America has been Leftists indoctrinating “people of color” (a racist term meaning anyone who is not white) into believing that non-whites are victims of white people.
There has always been racism in America, because there have always been Leftists, who oppose the individual, volitional, efficacious, reasoning mind. The evil of Leftists transcends their racism—encompassing rioters who destroy private property and assault dissenters, politicians who confiscate private property and control education, and pseudo-intellectuals in academia who use the confiscated property and government’s control in order to indoctrinate. In light of these truths, the following post of mine from 2017 is more relevant than ever: End Leftist Privilege, and Maybe Leftists Will Really Leave.
It is highly unlikely, however, that the federal government will have the understanding or courage to end Leftist privilege any time soon. What then can we do?
The Leftists in Leftist cities have accelerated the inevitable Leftist process of killing each other. Those of us in more civilized parts of America cannot save the Leftists from themselves. At this time, perhaps all we can do is protect our own families and communities, and—above all—not become them.
